My new best friends

Although otk/thigh highs have been given the thumbs-down by most of the people, I’m very much into them. I’m thinking socks:) Remember that scene in Sex and the city when Carrie was wearing those bold coloured socks(red, black and white) with a blue dress? I didn’t like it that much when I first saw it but now I’m ready to show some love to this trend(needless to say, it’s possible that you achieve a catholic school girl’s look but even so, I think they can look chic) So, after falling in love with them, I started searching for a proper pair but beside some websites(foreign of course, we’d be fools to belive that Romania will ever have decent shops) I found, there was no luck. I could’ve bought them from there but the shipping taxes were bigger than the actual price of the socks so I gived up and waited for a miracle to happen🙂) In the end, two lovely bloggers gived me some suggestions and after ages of struggling, I’ve actually found a pair! I was lucky enough to find them on sales so I bought 2 pairs, just to be sure:D (Thank you so much, Boheme.Fille and Laura Tenshi!)
Anyway, without further ado, I give you…(drums please) the black otk socks, my new bf!

Otk socks can step out in style any outfit but i admit, they can be a little challenging to incorporate:) What i don’t like about this trend are the sausage legs, so for me, this was the main criterion for buying them since my legs aren’t actually insect like 😀

Also, i don’t know if it’s bothering you but i tend to crop the disturbing background of my pictures, so that’s why they have different sizes 🙂

Love, love , love. I have endless love for knee high socks, I don’t know why but I just love this trend. It might be the fact that I was rocking them in ninth grade while bringing shock to all of my high school. Good times:) You look awesome as always!:)

Maybe

They used to be pretty popular in '94-'95, but I used to have a hard time finding a pair my size. They were usually way too long :)) When I finally found a pair like yours, I wore them with army boots and a mini jeans skirt. I was 14 and that combination made me famous in school :)))) I might give it a try again. I find them really cool.

Last year I bought some interesting socks from Golden Point. Lycra colored socks, with a lace band, but they're only up to the knee. I love them, but have no idea what to wear them with. Any suggestions are welcomed 🙂

I love the leather jacket too!

i want to get a pair as well. just like u my biggest fear is having sausage legs. i just wore a pair for halloween so i think the trick is to wear them with a fuller skirt and have them start exactly where the hem of the dress ends. that way u dont create several horizontal lines across your legs.

I love high socks! I absolutely love them! I own a couple of them myself and yeah, everybody looks but I don't really care. That's what you get in fashion-impaired countries, right?
You look amazing in that outfit! Cutest little owl too 😀

Overtheknees are so cool! I don't have too much of them but I adore the trend. In Hungary we dont have too good shops to find pretty ones but I keep searching. Love this post you have a talent for posing, you are very pretty! XOXO Lidia

You look very sweet – I think thigh high socks aren't really for me, but this isn't to say that they won't look incredible on others!
