They say diamonds are a girls best friend

Well, i beg to differ.

It’s pretty much obvious that I have a not-so-secret obsession with shoes-Thrill of the HEEL anyone? Rings a bell? Though some may call it an unhealthy addiction (as in “not-enough-money-for-lunch” unhealthy, ahem) or just a proof of how frivolous and superficial and self centred I am, I feel no shame. In fact, I’m quite proud of my guilty pleasure that calls me from store windows and webpages. And yes, I have to answer every single time! It would be rude not to.
Last night, I took a well deserved pause from a project I’m working on and relaxed myself by surfing the internet in search of some new shoes to obsess about. Here’s what got me hooked…
kurt
First of all, these gorgeous sandals by Kurt Geiger. They make me think about sweets, delicious ice cream, sugary sherbet, pretty Easter eggs and delicate spring flowers that embody innocence. And what’s not to love about a pair of fun, girly sandals that make me think about food? I’d put these on a plate with some strawberries and vanilla sauce and eat them if I could. Yummy.
With a curved heel, soft padded straps in the most delicious shade of wistful lavender and a silver sole, these shoes have all the quirky qualities I’ve come to love this season.

mcqueen
Ahhhhh, mister McQueen. Not sure which ones I like the most, they both give me butterflies in my tummy. What’s certain is that I’m head over heels for these encrusted skull nude peep toes! Both sophisticated and sexy, these gothic glamour exuding stunners are the perfect choice to take you from the office to a dinner date with ease. I’d pair them with a pencil skirt and a peplum top or a knee length 40’s style dress for a night out.

Again an Alexander McQueen design, these bad boys are all kinds of O.M.G.
carvela
And now ladies and ladies, la pièce de résistance, the one shoe I’d buy without a second thought…the Carvelapatent turquoise Assemble shoe!
Now this is certainly the stuff that dreams are made of in my world. They remind me so much of Mad Men and the feminine, ladylike collection Mark Jacobs did in 2010 with circle skirts and décolletage-revealing necklines. I can definitely imagine Betty Draper wearing them!
Featuring a pretty bow embellishment and a slim stiletto heel, these heels would look amazing teamed up with a full knee-length skirt and a fitted blouse for an undeniably chic daytime outfit.
