I couldn't be "happier"

I was so determined to wear a dress today!(today meaning yesterday )A Grecian type of dress, soft and preeeeety, in a very nice ivory color, with a belt and otk boots. Did I wear it? Of course not. Why? Because this disgusting weather wouldn’t agree, that’s why. I’m so tired of bounds and constraints! You can’t wear that, you can’t do that, you can’t go out without 300 layers, you can’t leave the house without the thickest coat, you can’t even keep your eyes opened because of the wind, for Christ’s sake!

Mama, ce hotarata eram sa port o rochie azi! (azi insemnand ieri) O pregatisem, una de tipul rochiilor grecesti, foarte placuta la atingere si frumusica, intr-o nuanta de ivoriu, cu cizme peste genunchi si curea. Am purtat-o? Normal ca nu. De ce? Din cauza ca vremea asta scarboasa nu ma lasa, d’aia. M-am saturat pana peste cap de limite si constrangeri! Nu poti sa porti aia, nu poti sa faci aia, nu poti sa iesi afara fara 300 de straturi, nu poti sa parasesti casa fara cea mai groasa pufoaica, nu poti nici macar sa tii ochii deschisi din cauza vantului, pentru D-zeu!(ma revolt cam degeaba dar simt nevoia…ma exaspereaza in ultimul hal porcaria asta de vreme)

Ok, inhale. Exhale. Inhale. Exhale. I am calm now.

So I ended up looking like this. Loose jeans, t-shirts(two of them), vest, high heels(of course), some accessories and that’s it. Done. No more than 5 minutes needed. And I’m pleased to report that I finally did something with my hair(in case you haven’t noticed yet, my hair is something like a broom that does nothing and…hangs. Oh, and keeps me warm 😀

Ok, inspira. Expira. Inspira. Expira. M-am calmat.

Am sfarsit aratand asa. Jeansi relativ lalai, doua tricouri, vesta, tocuri inalte(evident), niste gablonturi si cam asta e. Gata. Nu mai mult de 5 minute necesare. Si sunt mandra sa raportez ca am facut si ceva cu parul meu(in caz ca n-ati observat inca, parul meu este o chestie asa ca o matura care nu face nimic si…atarna. Ma rog, sa zicem ca imi tine de cald:D

That blue green…thing

So these pictures were taken two days ago during a break I had between classes. Me and my colleague went out to grab lunch so I thought why not shoot some outfit pics before seeing food in front of our eyes and eating the whole store.

Pozele astea sunt facute acum 2 zile, in timpul unei pauze pe care am avut-o intre cursuri. Am fost cu o colega sa luam ceva de rontait asa ca m-am gandit sa facem rapid si cateva poze daca tot avem timpul asta la dispozitie(bine, asta inainte sa dam de mancare si sa mancam tot magazinul)

Anyway, I couldn’t be happier that I finally got a chance to wear this skirt. I’ve been crushing on this kind of aqua-green(I don’t know exactly how to describe the color) for a very long time and as I noticed, I’m developing quite a collection of green stuff lately. I have this ski
rt, I have necklaces, a hat, a dress, shoes(you’ll see those as soon as the weather gets warmer), a bag, a blazer, earrings and some other things I can’t remember where I left them (hmmm)

M-am bucurat ca am reusit in sfarsit performanta sa port fusta aceasta. Am o obsesie pentru culoarea asta albastru-verzuie(nu stiu exact cum sa o descriu) de mult timp si din cate am observat, am inceput chiar sa colectionez articole verzi in ultimul timp. Am fusta asta, am cateva coliere, o palarie, o rochie, sandale( o sa le vedeti daca mai vine vara si la noi), o geanta, un sacou, cercei si alte cateva lucruri de care abia acum imi aduc aminte dar habar n-am pe unde le-am lasat:-?

I was really sad that day cause I lost a bracelet my mother gave me as a gift a while ago. It was pretty old, she got it 30 years ago and she decided I should have it. I loved that bracelet, it was made of silver with some gorgeous big green stones and it was quite valuable also… Really sad(and I mean it)

But I ordered shoes to feel less guilty…more about them when they arrive 😀

Ziua aia a fost totusi trista pentru ca am pierdut o bratara de la mama. O primisem cadou de la ea si era destul de veche, avea in jur de 30 de ani… Mi-a placut foarte mult, era facuta din argint si niste pietre pretioase verzi, mari(ale caror nume evident ca nu-l stiu) si era chiar valoroasa…Bine, putea fii si o coclitura de tinichea, tot mi-ar fi parut rau de ea din cauza vechimii si provenientei…

M-am consolat comandand incaltaminte totusi…dar mai multe despre asta dupa ce primesc coletul 😛 Sau coletele:D

Just 30?

I’m really glad that I finally got a chance to wear these wedges. And the Topshop pants. And the Hermes shirt. And the clutch. Yes, I buy things and forget about them or even “better”, I tend to go for the same old, fuzzy, rotten pieces of clothing that I love so much. I guess we all do that…Or at least that’s what I found out a while ago from a magazine. There was something like a survey and the results said that women only wear 30% of their weardrobes. Shocking figures, don’t you think? But it’s true. At least for me.

Ma bucur tare mult ca am apucat in sfarsit sa scot botinele astea la aer. Si pantalonii Topshop. Si camasa vintage Hermes. Si plicul. Da, cumpar lucruri si ba uit de ele, ba chiar mai “bine”, le las sa faca mucegai pe umeras si intind mana tot spre hainele vechi, scamosate (si uneori mancate de motan) dar pe care le iubesc atat de mult. Banuiesc ca toti facem asa…Sau cel putin asa am aflat acum ceva vreme dintr-o revista. Era vorba despre un sondaj sau ceva de genu’ iar rezultatele spuneau ca femeile poarta doar undeva in jurul a 30% din toata garderoba lor. Socante cifre, nu credeti? Dar asa e. Cel putin in ceea ce ma priveste.

The shirt was one of my best vintage finds because of the exotic animal print and the delicious fabric, a very soft silk that I totally love!

Camasa a fost una dintre cele mai reusite descoperiri vintage ale mele din cauza imprimeului cu animale exotice si a materialului delicios, o matase foarte fina care imi place enorm!

As for my outfit…

I’m back in Bucharest since Monday so yesterday I went for a walk and this is what I wore. It’s great to actually be able to step on the ground without any cars/people/walls to hold onto just to make sure you won’t kiss the ground.

Cat despre outfitul meu…

M-am intors in Bucuresti de luni asa ca ieri am iesit la o plimbare si cam asta am purtat. E nemaipomenit sa poti chiar sa pui dracului piciorul pe asfalt fara sa te tii de masini/oameni/pereti sau mai stiu eu ce alte lucruri de care sa te sprijini ca sa nu te trezesti una cu pamantul. Sau mai bine zis cu gheata.

Mono

I’m usually a very colourful person but from time to time I enjoy wearing monochromatic outfits. And although you haven’t seen it that often in my outfit posts, I wear blazers a lot and I actually collect them. A few days ago I was lucky enough to thrift a Christian Dior one so…yeah:D Lucky me!

Anyway, this is what I wore yesterday. You’ve seen the blazer before here, the pants are some sort of leggings/trousers (I’m not sure, I don’t wear leggings too often) and the shirt is vintage. Of course there was also a thick coat on top but I tooked it off when shooting these photos and the shoes are some random brand wedges I bought last year.

In general prefer hainele colorate dar din cand in cand imi place sa port si combinatii monocromatice. Desi nu le-ati vazut prea des in outfit posturile mele, port sacouri/blazere destul de des. Defapt, le si colectionez:D Chiar acum cateva zile am avut norocul sa dau peste unul semnat Christian Dior, cu o croiala foarte interesanta si chiar marimea mea. L-am luat fara sa clipesc, evident:D

Trecand peste, asta am purtat ieri. Ati mai vazut blazerul acesta aici, pantalonii sunt un soi de leggingsi/pantaloni(nu sunt sigura, nu port des asa ceva) iar camasa e vintage. Evident ca a mai fost si o haina pe deasupra( sa nu mor congelata) dar am dat-o jos cand am facut pozele; iar sosonii sunt defapt niste platforme pe care le-am luat de la MiniPrix acum un an.

Speaking of shoes…

They have a great selection of footwear: boots, sandals, trainers, pumps or even women’s ballerina shoes, very cute and practical, perfect for spring! Vorbind despre pantofi…

Daca si voi ca mine, va gasiti des googalind dupa tot soiul de pantofi, de la cizme de cauciuc pana la tocuri de 15 cm, va va placea Very.co.uk. E un site britanic cu o gama foarte variata de incaltaminte, de la cizme la sandale, de la pantofi sport la escarpeni sau chiar balerini, foarte draguti si practici pentru primavara ce vine! Dati o raita, poate gasiti ceva ce va place si anuntati-ma si pe mine daca va luati ceva:D

It’s back. And it’s going to be H-U-G-E. I’m talking about the 70’s trend, of course! From Marc Jacobs to Fendi, from Salvatore Ferragamo to Sonia Rykiel or Etro, we’ve seen that groovy inspiration dominating all of the spring summer 2011 fashion trends . And although the Marc Jacobs collection blew me away, I don’t even want to know how much a button would cost. So, what do I do? I check out the highstreet. If you remember, I’ve told you before about my endless love for the british highstreet (Topshop, River island, Miss selfridge, Oasis, and many many others) compared to the Inditex group so popular in my country(Zara, Bershka, Stradivarius, Massimo Dutti, etc etc). And for the next season(the ss11 i mean), Topshop has been creating so many 70’s inspired pieces that I can’t stop d
rooling.

So. I’ve selected above a few of my favourite pieces (there are billion others, don’t worry), all interchangeable, versatile pieces, and from my point of view, all you will be needing to step into the next season with style:D

S-au intors. Si vor fii P-E-S-T-E T-O-T. Vorbesc despre trendul anilor 70, desigur! De la Marc Jacobs la Fendi, de la Salvatore Ferragamo la Sonia Rykiel sau Etro, am vazut pasarelele parca scoase din Austin Powers. Si cu toate ca show ul si colectia Marc Jacobs m-au lasat cu gura cascata, nu vreau nici macar sa stiu cat o costa un nasture:)) Deci…ce e de facut? Ma indrept catre highstreet. Daca va aduceti aminte, v-am mai spus ca iubesc nemarginit zona de highstreet britanic (Topshop, River island, Miss selfridge, Oasis, si multe multe altele) fata de grupul Inditex atat de popular la noi in tara (Zara, Bershka, Stradivarius, Massimo Dutti, etc etc). Iar pentru umatorul sezon ( la cel de primavera vara ma refer, pentru mine inca e crima si pedeapsa cu vremea asta🙂)), Topshop a scos niste deliciozitati a la anii 70 parca facute in ciuda mea.

Asadar. Am facut un colaj mai sus cu cateva din piesele mele preferate (mai sunt tone care imi plac, nu va faceti probleme🙂)), toate pot fii purtate una cu cealalta in diverse combinatii, piese versatile, si din punctul meu de vedere, tot ce e nevoie pentru a pasi in noul sezon cu dreptul (repet, e doar punctul meu de vedere, foarte posibil sa nu va placa stilul acestor ani…tine de gusturile fiecaruia 🙂

Preferatele mele?

Sandalele cu talpa ortopedica si platforma ( de ce sunt atat de previzibila?:))) si jeansii evazati.

Fiti pe faza, in curand voi face o postare mai ampla cu privire la trendul acesta si cum pot fii incorporate piesele in garderoba voastra. Anunta-ti-ma daca aveti vreo sugestie! 😀

Skirts in

As you can see, the snow hasn’t melted yet but at least the ice did(most of it). Still, the cold ain’t stopping me from wearing short dresses, skirts and shorts and I just couldn’t wait anymore to take my Litas outside. I’m addicted to short stuff lately so I decided to wear this bodycon skirt (she feels a little neglected so I hope i’ll wear it more often:D)and I’m very into making light summery fabrics work in the winter.

Din cate se vede, tot n-am scapat de zapada dar macar s-a mai dus din gheata(cel putin o parte). Cu toate astea, frigul nu ma opreste din a purta rochii scurte, fuste sau pantaloni scurti si chiar nu mai aveam rabdare sa-mi scot Litele la plimbare. Am devenit dependeta de chestii scurte in ultimul timp asa incat am decis sa port fusta aceasta(n-am prea purtat-o deloc si se simte putin neglijata din cauza asta:D dar sper sa o scot la soare mai des pe viitor) si chiar mi-am propus sa gasesc o cale de a purta mai mult lucruri de vara in timpul iernii.

Feel the vibe

Really, except 5 inch+ heels, there is nothing I love more than vintage. And when I discover things as good as this ETRO skirt, it’s even better. I found it last month in one of my favourite stores. The print caught my eye immediately, I love that kind of 70’s, folk vibe it has! Then the fabric…soft velvet.Need I say more? I didn’t even go to the fitting room and I would’ve bought it even if it wasn’t labeled as ETRO! So, this was my outfit for the weekend. Aaaaaaand, (drums please!) I finally found a floppy hat!:D I’ve been searching for one for ages therefore you can imagine the orgasmic feeling I got when I saw this one waiting for me to take it home and show her some love:D

Exceptand tocurile de 13 cm+, chiar nu este nimic sa iubesc mai mult decat vintage-ul. Iar cand se intampla sa descopar lucruri atat de frumoase ca aceasta fusta ETRO, e chiar mai bine. Am dat de ea luna trecuta intr-unul din magazinele mele preferate. Initial mi-a atras atentia imprimeul; iubesc tipul asta de haine gen anii 70’s, de inspiratie folk! Apoi materialul…catifea moale:X Mai e nevoie sa spun ceva?:)) Nici nu m-am mai dus s-o probez si as fi cumparat-o chiar daca nu era etichetata ETRO. Asadar, asta am purtat weekendul trecut. Siiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii( tobe va rog) a dat D-zeu de am gasit in sfarsit o palarie cu bor larg! Cautam una de cand hau deci va puteti imagina senzatia orgasmica pe care am avut-o cand am vazut-o pe aceasta asteptandu-ma cuminte sa o iau acasa si sa o iubesc:D
